Venous Access / Vascular Tyler

Purpose

Generally, venous access refers to the insertion of a catheter (thin, flexible tube) into a central vein to deliver treatments, draw regular blood samples, or provide access to a vein over extended periods of time without the need for repeated injections.

This procedure is typically carried out in an angiography suite using ultrasound and x-ray guidance.
